R.P. Chem is focussing on the Research and Development of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) production, processes and analytical improvement since 2015.​ Here below is a summary of the main areas of R.P. Chem's R&D:

• Study of non-infringing synthetic routes of API and their intermediates

• Process development up to lab scale

• Study of physical-chemical properties of API in cooperation with the University of Padova (PSD, XRD, Optical microscopy)

• Scaling-up of new processes from the lab-scale to industrial plants

• Development and optimisation of analytical methods

• Industrial processes security studies

• Technical documentation and support to regulatory department of R.P. Chem (MSDS, analytical methods, bibliographic search)

• DMF (drug master file) filing and technical support
